Question 1

How do I start a project with Mound Studio?

Accepted Answer

Starting a project is simple: fill out the inquiry form on the Contact page with details about your project, and the team will respond within 1 business day. You'll then be invited to a free discovery call to discuss scope, goals, timeline, and budget. After the call, you'll receive a detailed proposal — no commitment required until you approve it.

Question 2

How quickly will I hear back after submitting an inquiry?

Accepted Answer

Mound Studio responds to all project inquiries within 1 business day. If you submit your inquiry on a Friday or over the weekend, you can expect a reply by Monday. For time-sensitive projects, you're welcome to mention your urgency in the inquiry form and the team will prioritize your response.

Question 3

What information should I include in my project inquiry?

Accepted Answer

The more context you provide, the more useful the initial discovery call will be. It helps to include: a brief description of your project and what you need designed or built, your target audience, your approximate budget range, your desired timeline or launch date, and any reference sites or designs you admire. You don't need to have everything figured out — the discovery call is designed to help clarify scope.

Question 4

Do you take on urgent or fast-turnaround projects?

Accepted Answer

Mound Studio occasionally takes on urgent projects depending on current team capacity. If your project has a tight deadline, mention it clearly in your inquiry. The team will be upfront about whether the timeline is achievable. Rush timelines may require adjusted scoping to fit the deadline without compromising quality.

Question 5

Can I hire Mound Studio for just design, or just development?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While Mound Studio offers fully integrated design and development, clients can engage for design-only or development-only work. For example, if you already have a Figma design, the studio can handle Webflow or Framer development. Conversely, if you need UX/UI design for your in-house developers to build, that's a supported engagement as well.

Question 6

Do you work with clients in different time zones?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mound Studio operates on an async-first model and regularly works with clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Projects are managed through clear workflows and documented communication, so you don't need to be online at the same time to keep things moving. Regular async check-ins and milestone reviews replace daily calls.
